The Library Association Movement which began on 24^th ___ 1988 at Chemponvilai by Mr. K. Sunder Raj at present celebrated its Silver Jubilee under the theme part .

The Library of CSI Venkanji is a branch of this movement and it had its beginning on 22^nd July 1988. Venkanji library intends not only to cater the purpose of reading and writing. But it has fulfilled and also fulfilling its goals by organizing conferences, workshop help for the needy, conducting various competitions and also cultural events. It continuously extends its functions/activities in various forms.

This Library has to its credit more than 2000 related  to biblical stories, general knowledge, science in multiple languages like Tamil, English and Malayalam.

The Library begins to function on every Sundays after the church service. General Knowledge classes are being conducted on every Sundays at 4’o clock in the evening.

In the Month of October, One of the Sundays is considered to be Library Sunday. Venkanji Library is rated one among the five chief libraries in the part. And moreover in the year 2015, Venkanji Library has completed its 25^th year on 27/12/2013, A signature campaign under the head “Silver Jubilee Library” was celebrated.

At present, PART is handed over to   Kanyakumari Diocese and its activities are monitored by the communication department of Our Diocese.
